The response to our last survey was incredibly helpful  — here's a few follow-up questions that will further help us develop the best color management solution on the planet. Thanks in advance!

SmartDock Survey - v2
How many customers do you serve in a year?
How many print jobs a month do you perform?
And, of those jobs, for what percentage do you encounter with color headaches?
What is the revenue generated by your average print job? ($)
Think of the last meaningful client who stopped ordering from you. Did they give a specific reason, or did they just stop calling?

Our new product...

We are developing a new product that will enable you to:

  1. Easily measure physical samples (business cards, etc) in order to set as a target output for important colors in print jobs.
  2. 'Tune' any color in any print file so that your printed output will match your measured 'targets and/or printed colors from past jobs
  3. Easily share measured 'target' colors and the tuned print files with Print Fulfillment Providers (larger print services you outsource to), so that they too can easily meet your and your customers' color expectations.
  4. Instantly generate accurate profiles for your printers on any media for use with any RIP software.

In short, with this tool, color management will become an effortless 'point and click' process anyone can perform.

Would you buy such a product for $1,999 USD / €1,699 plus a €25/month membership to retain access to latest printer & material compatibility? (Note: this price includes a world class measurement device)
If you had a 'Magic Button' that guaranteed your local print would match the factory's output 100%, would you outsource more jobs than you do today?
If you had a tool that pre-checked all client print files to see if they meet the preflighting requirements of your print fulfillment provider, would you outsource more jobs than you do today?
What percentage of jobs do you keep in-house only because you are afraid the factory won't get the color right?
If your main color expert (or you) got sick for a month, could the rest of your staff handle a complex color matching job?
