We are responsible for protecting personal data as effectively as possible. We must comply with the requirements of privacy regulations and in particular the European General Data Protection Act ((EU) 2016/679; ‘GDPR’). We aim to be transparent about the types of data we process, the purposes for processing, with whom we share data, and what rights individuals have concerning their own data. 1. WHO DOES THIS PRIVACY AND COOKIE STATEMENT APPLY TO?
This Privacy and Cookie Statement applies when you visit our website – www.colorbase.com –, our social media, and if you subscribe to our Services. Additionally, we may process personal data of individuals who have an agreement with us.
2. WHAT PERSONAL DATA DO WE PROCESS ABOUT YOU?
Personal data is any information that relates to you. There are many types of personal data. The obvious data we process includes contact details. As part of our services, we process these personal data in various ways. We will explain how we do this and for what purposes. ColorBase shall process the following personal data of you:
- first name
- last name
- e-mail address
- your company or the company you work for (each user shall be linked to this information)
- your role within the company
- details regarding the business model of the company
- details regarding printers and materials used by you or the company
3. FOR WHAT PURPOSES AND ON WHAT LEGAL GROUND DO WE PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
ColorBase shall process your personal:
- in order to conclude and for the performance of an agreement which includes:
- your registration on our website,
- the management of your account,
- the subscription to our services, and
- the processing of your orders and delivery of any ColorBase Products.
- for the purpose of its legitimate interest, which includes:
- the prevention of misuse and/or improper use of a user’s account and our website,
- maintaining a (commercial) relationship with you,
- marketing activities such as newsletters or specific information,
- conducting (targeted) marketing and promotional activities, and
- in the context of a (contemplated) merger or business transfer.
We may also use your personal data for purposes other than those for which you initially provided them. However, the new purpose must not be incompatible with the original purposes. We will always assess whether the use for other purposes is permitted.
4. WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
We share personal data only with trusted third parties when it is necessary for them to provide their services and there is a legal basis for processing. We share your personal data strictly on a ‘need to know’ basis.
- With selected partners or service providers strictly for delivering the requested services.
- With large-format printing material manufacturers, printer manufacturers, and Raster Image Processor (“RIP”) software manufacturers.
- With government and law enforcement or private parties to comply with laws or respond to legal claims.
- In the event of business transfers, such as mergers, bankruptcy, or reorganizations.
You expressly acknowledge that parties mentioned in paragraph 4.1(b) may be located outside the European Economic Area and that the personal data may be subject to a different level of data protection. Contact ColorBase for more details on international transfers.
5. HOW DO WE SECURE YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
- We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures, such as encryption, password protection, and staff confidentiality agreements.
- If you experience security issues, report them confidentially to info@colorbase.com.
6. DATA RETENTION PERIOD
We retain your personal data for a maximum of 7 years after account termination.
- You have rights under GDPR including access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, and data portability. Contact info@colorbase.com to exercise these rights.
- We will respond within 4 weeks, extendable by another 4 weeks. If denied, you may file an objection or complaint with the Dutch DPA (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
- We may request proof of identity. Requests must relate to your own data.
7. PERSONAL DATA AND COMMERCIAL OFFERS

- To prevent our partners from using your data commercially, contact the same address.
8. COOKIES
- Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We notify you of their use and assume consent unless declined.

- This statement is governed by Dutch law. Disputes will be handled in Rotterdam.
